cats VS fish food

Does anyone know if fish food is bad for cats?

Kanga LOVES fish food and algae disks and will go to great lengths to get some. He hardly ever gets it but if I'm opening the fish tank lid to feed the fish he comes running and must have his nose in my hand and tries to run off with the algae disk bag and...

Anyway, I'm just wondering if its harmful to them. Thanks.

You know what's funny? My cats love fish food too! I asked my vet if fish food could harm my cats and he said no. If they show any signs of an upset stomach, then it's a problem. I consider fish food a once in a while treat for my cats. They only get to eat it when some flakes fall on the floor!

I'm really not sure about the algae disks though. Maybe Hissy can give us an answer!

I don't know, because I don't have any fish, but I wouldn't think it would harm him...but best to ask your vet.

Algae shouldn't kill them.

Commercial fish food can't be worse than commercial cat food, anyway. I think so, anyway
