SERIOUS ADVICE NEEDED!
One of my cats vomited this morning.... and as I was cleaning it up I noticed what looked like -ugh, this is gross- long curled up spaghetti! Well....... they were moving!!!! WHAT IS this?? I thought parasites/worms were in the intestines!!
(sorry, but Im obviously NOT a vet!!)
Can I just go to the pet-supply and get a wormer or should I consult a vet?
The other problem is that Im not sure which of my three cats did it!! I could treat them all with a wormer.....but Im not sure about taking all 3 to the vet! $$$$$ ouch!
Help!

My cat, Peppurr, did the same thing. And yes, it is a worm. Go to your vet and they will give you Drontal, the stuff you buy in the pet store doesn't work. Peppurr vomited up a worm and it was a foot long! It's the way their body rids itself of the parasite, is can come out from either end.

See if the wormer works , do all the cats.If it dosent worked go to the vet. Make sure the cats are eating and drinking ok.It sounds like Roundworms which can be pass on to humans.Check yourself for ring circles on your skin.

Actually they are roundworms and it is common for kittens to heave them up. Your cat will probably need several rounds of medication to clear up the infestation. Don't use over the counter medications, go to your vet and get the proper stuff or your cat may become quite ill or worse.

OK, you're a tad confused. RINGWORM is what causes ring circles on your skin, not ROUNDWORM. Ringworm is a fungus much like athletes foot. Yes, you can pick it up from cats. Roundworm is an actual animal, and you can also get that from cats. However, ROUNDWORM doesn't cause ring circles in the skin. If you had roundworm you would see little worms in your feces, or in the worst case scenario you'd vomit them up.

As it's been said, it sounds like your cat has roundworms (aren't the spaghetti worms nasty?). Speaking from my own personal experience, getting rid of roundworms can be a pain. Your vet will be the best person to prescribe medication for the roundworms. It may take a while, and some different medications, but you can be rid of roundworms. My Ivo had roundworms, and it took several different tries at different prescriptions to get rid of them, but in the end we did.
