Im a receptionist as well, but not at a hotel.

If theres a job that will boost your confidence in talking to people it's working on reception.

Once you get the hang of it, you'll love it. You'd be suprised at some of the people you meet as well, especially at hotels!.

Will you have some tales to tell

I am the front desk manager at the hotel as well and always worry about my Solomon who's only 9 weeks old now, but was 7 when I first time had to leave him alone....You know, he sleeps all day long while I am gone, and then plays like a crazy monkey when I am finally home with him!!!!
So, you shouldn't worry- just leave him toys, enough food, cozy bed, and some kind of music just to keep him happy!!!!
