I felt the vibrations. Dishes rattled. I heard a heavy book fall off the shelf. I braced for it to get worse. It didn't. Then I realized...it was just my two 14-pound cats chasing each other! Whew! But they shouldn't scare me like that!

Rofl.....I remember that earthquake, scariest moment of my life. I never, ever want to go through that again. My entire house slid back and forth on it's slab and the walls buckled out and then in. I braced in a doorway and said a fervent prayer 'cause I thought my house was going to break apart.

I'm also in WA state.

That's funny! Luckily, I've only experienced minor earthquakes. The last time I reacted the opposite way - I looked to see what JC was getting into, only to find him cowering behind a sofa with huge eyes.

But scary too.
