Since I work on the side of town, where my parents live, I swung by there to drop of Mom's Mother's Day present and card. Lo and behold - they were ACTUALLY home, for a change!
I gave Mom a card, with kitties on it (natch!) and a nice verse, signed from Bill and me. When she read it, she CRIED! She made my dad read it, too and told him to put it on her dresser and save it. She likes the blown-glass high-heeled shoe, too. For a scrawny old lady, in a wheelchair, she sure hugs hard! Thought that she was going to dislocate my neck.
Anyhow, mission accomplished. I think that she's finally forgotten my teenage years. I still smoke, drink and don't make my bed but, I don't think that matters much to her, anymore. She even likes my hair, clothes and makeup. The question is - which one of us changed?
