hey everyone, this is my first post here but wanted to show you all our new kittens! we have 2 one year old cats thomas and princess chloe, chloe got pregnant about 3 months ago (not on purpoase, thomas has since been 'fixed').. she had 4 little babies 3 nights ago. we are very close with her and she had them pretty much right next to us and has let us be near her the whole time! the whole labor only took about 2 1/2 hours most of which was her cleaning the kitties

we got 3 boys (as far as we can tell) named marley, wallace and leroy! and one special little girl named princess laya (in honor of her mommy)

anyway heres some of the pictures, these are from about 24 hours after her giving labor

thanks guys!! the dad is a good looking orange and white cat but the only orange is a tiny bit on one of the boys.. the names if we are correct on sex are marley (gray one), leroy (gray/white, wallace (gray/orange/white) and the girl is princess laya (she looks almost identical to her mom)

i will definetly take lots more pictures especially when their big blue eyes open up! it was absolutely amazing watching the whole birth take place, we have been helping her with the kittens when they get away from the little bed we made and she seems to appreciate that.. if she gets up they all start yelping like little zippers!!!

if they are orange and another color they are usually girls then? i honestly don't know much about this stuff this is our first batch
i was under the impression orange cats were usually male.

this is a blurry but fun picture of the daddy thomas, hes such a sweetheart and just recovering from his no-more-kitty surgery

Welcome to TCS to you and your family.

What cute little kittens.

Usually if they are orange, white and another color - such as black - then they are usually going to be female. It's very rare to have a male calico.

Cute kittens...

Are there any plans to get the mommy fixed at a later date in time?

yes chloe will definetly be getting fixed after this, we had always wanted our own little kittens and thomas & chloe were our favorite two cats we've had so it all made sense

they kept us up all night last night, it seems chloe has figured out how to carry the kitties by their necks and is moving them around our bedroom.. she put them all in the back of my guitar amp until i noticed and htats just not safe so we put her back into her bed we made.

the kitties are noticeably bigger and furrier, their bellies are always nice and fat
i will take some pictures later tonite to show you guys

This is an adorable family. Thank you for getting Thomas fixed so that he can't continue his tomcat ways. Please, once the kittens are weaned, also get the mom fixed so she can't have anymore kittens either. Sadly, there are just to many kittens in this world. You also might talk to your local vets, a lot of time they will issue a spay and neuter certificate along with the sale of the kittens. This makes it easier for the people adopting the kittens to get them fixed. Usually the vet work in cohesion with a local animal shelter. You would have to contact both to find out if this program might be available to you in your area.
