As you all know, I work as a nanny for my friends Kendra and Andy. Well, today about an hour before they came to get Haley, Kendra's mom called to tell me that Kendra's paternal grandma had had a stroke. Kendra's mom couldn't get a hold of Kendra and Andy on their cells....so I had to deliver the news. I'm crying right now, because it was just awful! It is the worst experience I've ever had...and you are talking to someone who has seen some horrible things as an activist. I have never had to deliver news like that and I hope I never do again.

They need good vibes, so if you all could send some down this way it would be greatly appreciated.

I so sorry to hear this. I'm sending lots of healing vibes to Kendra's grandmother, and positive vibes to the family. I hope Kendra's grandmother will be ok.

Staci, I'm just now seeing this. I'm so sorry for the family, and for you to have to bear such bad news. It's so hard to have to do that, and I do understand your point of view. (I understand because I had to tell my father that his mother had passed away with a stroke when I was 17 I think, my mother didn't want to deal with it....)

I would add that speech therapy can also work miracles (my Dad was a stroke victim). The family is in my thoughts.
