Please say a prayer fo my dog "Toby"

Last night when I come in from the back yard at 9:30pm Toby did not want to come insite with me and so let him stay outsite . About 30 minutes later my son got Toby in and told me that Toby was crying and is in pain . The only thing we could find was his right eye was swollen . So I asumed Toby went after a toad sp ( big frog ) again like always and got some of the fluit in his eye from that animal . So I start flushing his eye out with eyewash and being in pain give him a baby aspirin . I flushed some more and more and was hoping to flush all the bad stuff out of his eye . This morning he had what look like a bubble to me in his eye and puss (sp) comming out of his eye .The eye look totaly red and knew then there was a infection going on . I went to the vet with him this morning . The vet told me that Toby had 2 ( I wish I could spell ) punktion wounds . I hope you know what I mean . The vet said he may has gone after something and so run into something what give him that injury in his eye . Now on the left eye he is olmost blind and only maybe can see shades , that come from children throuing stones at his eye ( Toby is a rescue dog ) . So today after lunch they will close his eye and will be unter the knive in the hope that it will heal by itself . But she told me that Toby may not be able to see from his right eye any more after healing If I only brought him in with me last night

Please say a little prayer for Tobby that he wont loose his eyesight .

Kiwideus thank you , I am just so hurt for Toby . He is the dog who was changing me and made me also a dog lover .

I am sending my prayers for your Toby. I hope his eye heals quickly, with no loss of sight.

Toby is in my thoughts and prayers that he will have a successful surgury and a rapid recovery with no loss of vision. You are also in my prayers. Please don't second guess your decision last night. You provided Toby with the very best care possible. There's no way you could have known that the problem was more complex. Please keep us up to date how Toby is feeling!

I am sending mega healing vibes for Toby. I truly hope he has a speedy recover with no eysight loss.

I hope he gets better soon. Don't blame yourself, dogs love to be outside, and any of us probably would have done the same thing. You have given him a safe and loving home, and that is what counts.

The vet said she would call me in the afternoon . I will let you all know what she will tell me . But I am sure she will not be able to tell me about his eye sight . I think I will only find out after his healing . My poor baby

Hedi, saying prayers for Toby. Why do we always blame ourselves if one of or babies is hurt.

I am so upset , I did talk to the vet. He did good when they close his eyelids today and all went well in that area . Then I made the mistake to ask the vet to tell me the trues if she were thinking that Toby would get his eye sight back . She said is the damage was very severe , my spelling may be wrong now . She said he may gain some eye sight back , but she would not be able to tell . She also said it was good I came with Toby in right away at least there is a change for his eye sight . Well some people wait days and then they finally call , I never get that anyway . But how ever , he may be blind on the right site . That means I will have a totaly blind dog . I am just so upset right now . Gosh how I wish I got him insite the house with me last night and he could be a very happy dog now . He may never chase after squerels again in his hole life . And Toby was so happy . He went through a lot befor he come to me , why does this has to happen to him ? Why My poor baby . And I miss him so much not being here right now

Is there a picture of Toby on thecatsite? I thought there was but can't remember for sure!
