I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I thought I was maybe a little nutty for saving them.
I was surprised to find a few web sites about it though.

I didn't know cats lost their whiskers until Sam did, in fact I posted on here to find out if it was a normal occurance. It totally gave me the willies. Ive not found anymore since.

I didn't know they shed their whiskers, so if I have ever found any I have probably thought it was fur. I am going to look out for them now.

If I find one, I save it. I think that I only have 2 of them. I manged to find one of my Razpy's baby teeth and was quite excited about that.
My first ever!

The first time I saw one of Kitty's "shed" (or whatever) whiskers, I had no idea what to make of it. I didn't know much about cats at the time :p

Now we see whiskers and claw bits, and sometimes we save them for a while, but they usually get lost lol.

I have 3 cats & I collect any whiskers of theirs that I find.  I also put them in a little box.  My sons laugh about it, but they already know I'm a bit weird.  I just figured they were good luck or something.  I never thought so many other people collected cat whiskers too.  My mom says maybe I'm not so weird after all!  :-)

How often do cat's shed their whiskers?    I haven't found any of Ruby's yet, but I've only had her 4 months.    Find lots of claws shells though.

Yes I do save one from each baby. I tuck them in my journal. I'm so glad I do, because I've lost a couple very close fur baby friends, and this way I keep a piece of them with me. I also take bits of their fur and put it in a tiny bottle, like the pic below, when one dies, before I bury them. It may seem creepy to some, but it's like a small memorial to them. Below is fur from my beloved friend Mouse, who was with me for 13 long years.

Wow - never knew folks collected whiskers!  Nope - we don't collect 'em in our house.  Max & Phoebe shed enough - we've got enough to keep track of!

I've been collecting whiskers for years. I have them in a special place mixed together.

Yes
we have been collecting whiskers from all of our cats over the years, some of the whiskers must be over thirty years old by now.

Yes it do.
I also make wooden cat figures that can hold real whiskers in the face.
I was thinking about selling the figures but don't know if other people would want a whisker display or not?

Not whiskers here. I had a small jar of my cat's baby teeth that I've found.. but that jar is now missing. I think I lost it in my move :(

I find them here and there but haven't saved any.  If they are good luck I might ought to start saving them!    I'm with all the rest of you about the hair...I live in a cloud of hair it seems.  I live such an adventurous life--vacuuming and scooping litter trays.

I will admit I kept a puff of my poor old doggie's fur I found after he passed.  I was cleaning in the living room and found a puff of it where the vacuum didn't get to.  I put it in a little container near his urn box.  May seem weird to some, but it is kind of an awesome thing now for me to just see it and touch it occasionally.  It might be a good thing for me to gather whiskers, to have when "one of these days" comes around.
