We had our second ever problem outside the box this week. I have been very, very sick and in turn neglected the litter boxes pretty bad. I forgot about them for over 3 days. I feel really bad about it, but Im pretty sure thats why this happened. Its either that or because Jayce accidentally got shut in to a room without a litter box for a few hours. One or the other, and Im just worried now that it might happen again. Ive remidied the situation... their boxes are acceptable once again and theres a slim chance of anyone accidentally getting shut in the wrong room (that wasnt my fault, someone stopped over and did it by accident).

The cat pooped on the carpet and peed on the bed. It was directly on the sheets, and thankfully I had a mattress protector on it. So it didnt leak through to the mattress. How can I be reasonably sure it wont happen again? Im air drying the sheets outside to get as much fresh air and sun as possible to bleach out any smells. The carpet Im not so sure about
Can I be safe in assuming this probably will not happen again as long as those 2 situations described above dont happen again? Or am I in trouble for more peeing problems now that its started?

The last time someone pooped outside the box was also because it wasnt scooped to their approval so they pooped on a rug and folded it up to cover it

Thanks for any advice

You should probably order this product to be sure your bed doesn't get soiled again. And although an overflowing litter pan will cause a cat to use other places, keep an eye on your cat(s) to be sure that they are not ill-
