Is this hair breed-specific?

Nemo is showing something that I have never seen on a cat before... he's growing hair behind and below his ears

As said, i have never ever seen that before......... is this something specific to a certain breed of cat, or is he just weird..... well, more weird than he already is

I don't think it is breed specif(sp) our Himalayan's have the hair there
as does our Heinz 57'S. I thought they all had it. I could be wrong

well, that's a start for me....

the paperwork i got on him from the shelter just tabbed him as a "Domestic Long Hair".. so any traits that lead me to his origins is good to know
