My name was drawn as the monthly prize package winner for March, in the "Caption This" contest feature here on The Cat Site.

Pounce and I were solidly on the road for the whole month of April, so we are just now back home (May 1st) and enjoying the Prize Package, supplied by Pat & Alix at Plain Brown Tabby Toys and Treats.

I wanted to share here the e-mail that I just sent them, describing Pounce's reaction to the prize package contents. This will give you an idea of what you have to look forward to, if you are selected as a future monthly winner in this FUN contest.
-----------------------------
Howdy! I thought I'd let you know that Pounce and I have finally returned home from an extended road trip, and retrieved our "Caption This" Prize Package. I thank you, and Pounce definitely thanks you.

This was one of about a dozen similar sized packages retrieved from our package drop this round (I'm an avid eBay shopper), yet Pounce homed right in on it. I left it til last in the unpacking, to see if this was just coincidence, as she is normally curious about ALL packages. She would come over and check out each of the other boxes as I opened them, then return to HER box - which got batted about half the living room before I finally opened it.

After popping the top, I paused a moment to unfold and read the letter - during which she dove in head first, digging! Normally, she may take a close look, but will wait for me to pull out the contents. Not in this case! (Gee - thanks for the styro beads.)

I first unwrapped the Catnip-filled "Leopard Mouse", which she immediately had an extended wrestling match with. I haven't seen her take to a toy like that since she was just a little kitten! She normally snubs such toys so completely, that I quit wasting money on them some time ago. She is quite taken with this one.

Next up was the "Kooky Kat Organic Catnip Budz" sample. It's been a while since I read about it on your website, so I need to review that info - but I crumbled one small "head" of it into a fine powder, letting that drift down over a patch of carpet at the foot of my bed. Her first sniff at that brought on a sneeze - but she has been regularly seen rolling around merrily on that spot ever since, like a Cat possessed!

The biggest Hit of the entire collection, however, appears to be the "Kitty Kaviar" dried fish treat - one taste, and she has gone so "ape" for the stuff, that I'm having to store the can in a locked cabinet between treats! This reaction from a VERY finicky Cat who, while she must sniff and pass judgment on ANYTHING in her presence, normally limits actual consumption to just her Purina Deli-Cat, and an occasional lick of melted cheddar cheese or strawberry ice cream.

So, the prize package is quite a superb treat for the kitty - and we both thank you again for supplying it.

And I'd like to extend a special thanks to you, for being the prize sponsor for the "Caption This" contest, which I get a great dose of amusement from participating in.

I also have to lock up the kitty Kaviar! There is also a dried Salmon treat sold by Plain Brown Tabby that my cats will damn near kill themselves for. I'm in the drawing for this month, so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Clemmie and PurrfectcatLove,
Sounds like I need to purchase some of this amazing kitty kaviar for my babies. I think I shall...I have already added the website to my 'favorites' for future purchasing

Hedi this sounds like a challange to me
Saturday I cooked shrimp and of course I had to give some to The Sammycat, Oscar and Ceasar. Oscar and Ceasar no problem woofed their shrimp right down. The Sammycat sniffed it, licked it, and the tried to cover it up before walking away like it was something from the kitty box. Arrogant kitty I tell you.

So now I think I am going to place an order for some of the Kitty Kaviar just to see if Mr. Finicky will even give it a try. Pat what do you think will The Sammycat eat it?

Have to be honest, there are those cats who don't like Kitty Kaviar (weird says Alix!) but those who don't usually then do love wildside salmon
the freeze-dried salmon that's been mentioned.
