Hi I got a cat tree out of the trash it needs some work but hey it was free. I have it in my garage now so my cats are not near it. What should i clean the carpet with so that my cats donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t get sick. There is a lot of cat hair on the carpet part so I am going to vacuum it and scrub it, what I wanted to know what would be safe to use. Also there are some places that the carpet needs replaced what should I use to attach it? Nails or non-toxic glue?

Any help would be great

I would use a vinegar with water mix and maybe mix some of those odor remover ( in case a cat was sprayin on it ) in there ,you can buy that at any petstore . Then let it air try in the sun .
You can try using the glue gun , or staple it what you have to replace .

There's no place like home
If you are concerned about disease, keep it away from your cats for a couple of months. Bleach kills just about everything, but would fade the carpet and you would need an odor neutralizer afterwards to get rid of the bleach smell (which some cats will urinate on). Vinegar and water and odor neutralizers are good ideas.
