Dexter is meowing a lot lately, help!

I find that Dexter has been meowing more than usualy recently, and always at 5am every morning.

He will sit at the door and meow even though he has never been outside. I think he is bored cuz he has lost his favorite toys and I can't find them but I am not sure. What do you think?

Have you ever checked what is outside at 5 a.m? Dexter probably hears something out there!

Mine has been more hyper than usual. We are having heat here and I think that's part of it, he is more tired during the hot hours and wants to play when it cools off (like me!) Starts crying to go out, and won't let up. I'm hoping it calms down as the weather cools off! He is driving me nuts, bit my foot this morning, I gave him a stern no and stopped playing. He stopped then. But ugh!
