I just got back from a three day trip and three of my ten cats are sick. Two are hacking and sneezing with one runny eye each(clear), but my most recent rescue Cinamon has it bad. His third eye lid in one eye is all red and irritated lokking and covering 1/2 his eye and he is really stopped up, sneezing and just sitting in a crouch looking miserable. I'm taking him to the vet tommorow, but I was wondering if anyone could give me a hint of what it is, and if they're just going to send me home w/a gallon of clavamox???

oh, I don't know if it's blood or not comming out of his nose, and it's not a lot, but I never heard of a cat getting a nose bleed.

Sounds like a nasty upper respiratory infection
It's very possible all of the other ones will get it as well, or at least a few more. They will probably give you an antibiotic, and eye ointment. The blood is proably from the sneezing. When they sneeze alot, they can break the blood vessels in their noses.

Yeah, it was an upper respritory infection.
Not very fun for three of my cats, but none of the others caught it!?!
Could something like this indicate those who are healthiest, and those with the weaker immune systems?? Just curious, because the cat that I thought would get it the hardest sneezed for two days(not bad) and then nothing else.
Cinnamon who is a huge, but thin bodied, orange tabby got it BAD as I said, and had a fever, open mouth breathing, sneezing like crazy.... on and on. But I was just wondering if this could mean that he is the most 'unhealthy'? Or possibly he just hasn't come across this bacterium before and doesn't have the antibody?? Anyone have a guess?
