Sick Kitty??

help!!! I have 4 cats and one of them must be ill. I keep finding cat feces (diarreah!) on the carpet next to my litter boxes. I found it first around 7 this morning (2 piles), and have found 3 since them. The litter box is clean, so I dont know why the cat wouldn't use it. Looking for advice...I am hoping it is not my 13 yr. old cat, but any words of wisdom will help. Please respond or email me at [email protected].

Your cat is probably trying to get to the box, but isn't able to make it in time. With that much diarrhea, there might be more than one cat affected. You'll probably need to take the sick cat or cats to the vet. Take poop samples with. I hate to be gross, but the fresher, the better. It could be parasites or could be something toxic your cats ate. Are your cats having any other symptoms? The more you can tell the vet, the better he or she will be able to help your furry ones.

Just thought of something--did you change their food? A change of food can give a cat diarrhea.
