When a man BBQs...

When a man volunteers to do the 'BBQ', the following chain of events are put into motion:

1) The woman goes to the store.

2) The woman fixes the salad, vegetables, and dessert.

3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it in a tray along with
the necessary cooking utensils, and takes it to the man, who is lounging
beside the grill, 3rd beer in hand.

4) The man places the meat on the grill.

5) The woman goes inside to set the table and check the vegetables.

6) The woman comes outside to tell the man that the meat is burning.

7) The man takes the meat off the grill and hands it to the woman.

8) The woman prepares the plates and brings them to the table.

9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes

10) Everyone praises the man and thanks him for his cooking efforts.

11) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed "her night off." and, upon
seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there is just no pleasing some
women. . . .

LOL!! Love it! I have to get my fiance Greg to read this, as we've started 'bbq season' and are bbqing many nights each week, and that fits our routine perfectly!

hehe. My situation is a bit different. But no less lazy. After BBQ perhaps the first round, you know a few meats, prawns, wings etc. We all (man and woman included) decided to call the domestic help out and help us BBQ. Then we all just sit back and wait for the food. Now that is EXHAUSTING. hehe

Hmmmm... that's very true. Naturally, I've witnessed that among various family members, except for my aunt and uncle. I'm single and have taught myself otherwise. I don't ever want to be like them. Then again, the majority of women just aren't used to men who can offer more than a fraction of help without taking all the credit.

There's no place like home
Last time we BBQ'd, I only had to shop for the meal's ingredients, open the cookbook to how to get it done and turned it over to my husband to do the rest. I was amazed but he pulled it off nicely!! Of course I had a pinched nerve in my neck and couldn't raise my hands higher than elbow height, so he had no choice in the matter!

Ya know......he thanked me for planning the menu and gloated when he did the whole meal himself. Taught him a lesson on how to orchestrate a meal and gave him a sense of pride when he finished it. Men have it in them, they just play dumb sometimes. LOL

Thanks for sharing!!
