I read this today in a German cat magazine (Geliebte Katze). It seems familiar - has anybody come across it in English? This is my translation:
When God created the cat..
On the first day, God created the cat.
On the second day, God created the human, to serve the cat.
On the third day, God created all other creatures on earth, to serve as potential cat food.
On the fourth day, God created work, so that humans could labor for the cat's benefit.
On the fifth day, God created the glitter ball, so that the cat could play with it (or perhaps not).
On the sixth day, God created veterinarians, to keep the cat healthy and humans bankrupt.
On the seventh day, God wanted to rest, but had to clean the litterbox.
