Pounce has a habit of snuggling with me in the bed, when we're out on the truck. But her first night at home, she went prowling - which I expected. I forced myself to stay in bed, despite the regular banging around, figuring she needed to adjust to the house, and could do so quicker without interference from me.
At the time, I had a serious mouse problem at home - and I figured it only natural she would go after them eventually, but she was barely three months old at this point, and a "city cat" at that. I was quite pleasantly surprised the next morning, after a mostly sleepless night with her thrashing about, to find THREE dead mice laid out in a row near her dish, where I'd be sure to find them. GOOD GIRL!!!!
After a few more home visits - and a record of five captures when I stayed out one evening (had four laid out, and a firm grip on the fifth, which was still kicking, when I walked in) - our mouse problem was soon eliminated.
A similar fate awaits the FLY who thinks it can live for long in the truck......
