Whenever I try and send a link or attach a picture of mine, I cannot seem to paste - it says that my settings need to be changed. What do I need to do?

What editor are you using? Go into your User CP > Options > Miscellaneous and post what editor is selected. It may be the editor and it may not be...but it's worth a shot eh?

Aha! Thanks Kristi - if I want to paste, I will just have to switch from this wysiwyg mode to the lesser enhanced one!

Thank you once again! Now I know!

What browser are you using? You shouldn't have to resort to using a lesser enhanced mode, there has to be a problem with the browser and editor maybe..

I am using Netscape. I will see if it will work in IE.

Okay, I am testing to see if this works

Okay, I can paste.

I guess it means using IE from now on.

Thanks Kristi.

How about trying Mozilla FireFox? It's very similar to Netscape, only even better! I use FireFox and do not have these problems.

Kristi, I downloaded Firefox but I am still having problems - is there something I need to configure on the browser itself? That is what I am thinking. I tried and it said "Mozilla requires that you must select some text for this function to work" I love Firefox itself though, it is indeed way better than Netscape!

I really appreciate your input!

It also said (in the paste feature) "You need to edit your Mozilla config file to allow this action"

Ooo, when you make a link with the new software, you have to either have text selected/highlighted to be the text for the link, or you have to paste the link then select it, click the URL button and paste the link into the box that comes up.

Oh my, I hope that made sense...let me try again...

To post a link: Type out or paste the link, highlight the link or text you wish to show as a link, click the Insert Link button
and paste/type the link into the box, select Ok. Your link or text should show up underlined with a blue line to let you know that you have done it correctly.

1. Select text/link you want to show as a link.

2. Click the Insert Link button.

3. Enter the website you want your text to be linked to.

4. Select OK.

I think you would have to go to your install files for Mozilla and look for a file called config and set the preference in there. If it's properly documented, it should tell you somewhere along the file what you need to do. Otherwise, you'd just have to stick with IE I guess...

Silly me figured out how to paste - using the alt + V keys. I had forgotten all about that.
