Same to all of you! This one is kind of emotional for me cause my elderly Aunt who I always spent Easter with passed on. I really miss her. BUT I am having a friend over for dinner so that should help.

Marge--I am so sorry that you have to go through this...still hope you find a way to celebrate Easter (it's real meaning)...have fun at dinner!

Thanks, it's getting to me more than I thought. We used to go over to her
place, and have Easter brunch at the inhouse restaurant, have some white wine-she loved her cocktails-but in a good way-not a drunk or anything. And listen to music and talk. I really miss her.

But I am having a friend over so that should help. Why do people have to die? Why can't we all just hang around until all our friends and family are ready for us to go?

You know...I wish I had the answer to that, sweetie! This is my first Easter without my grandmother...oh man do I miss her like crazy! Think about the people who are still in your life, and remember your aunt will always be in your heart. ...and someday you will see her again (atleast that's what I believe)

It has been Easter here for a little over 40 minutes, and I just made up the Easter baskets (JC can have a hardboiled egg with his breakfast - he'll be thrilled). Happy Easter to everybody, and I hope you all manage to enjoy it despite losses, problems, and so on.

Easter is just another day for me here, but to those who celebrate it, Happy Easter!

Another day?

For us, Easter is just as important as Christmas...
As a teenager I never really appreciated all of our Easter preparations and celebrations however that has all changed. This will be the first Easter I've spent without my family (they're in Western NY, I'm near Austin,TX) I've always known family was important but I now truly understand that they make the holiday. We bought a spiral ham and trimmings today so tomorrow will be my first attempt at cooking Easter dinner. Of course my bf and I are children at heart so we also picked up two hollow chocolate bunnies since the Easter Bunny doesn't have our new address Oh and don't forget "The Ten Commandments" on DVD hehe a true Easter classic! While tomorrow will be quiet here at home with just the two of us and the animals it will give me a great chance to remember all of the wonderful Easter Sundays I spent with my family over the years and dream of all the great Easters Nate and I have to look forward to when we start a family of our own.

I hope everyone has a wonderful, peaceful, day with their nearest and dearest.

Happy Easter!!!

Yes, I agree! For us it is THE most important Holiday!

Yep, I'm atheist and I don't believe in Jesus and all this, so I prefer to spend this day as normal as possible but of course I respect others who celebrate it.

I agree that this is a Holy Day. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter! Jcat, didn't think about the hardboiled egg. Great idea! Sierra get's a basket with her favorite bonita, a new swat and play and a special raw chicken neck!

I got TWO solid chocolate bunnies. Bill told me that he went rabbit hunting, yesterday. As far as I'm concerned, he made a pretty good haul.

Hope everyone had a great Easter! (For those who celebrate it. For those who don't, I hope they had a good day anyway!)

One other good thing about Easter: now, I can wear my brand-new WHITE high-heeled pumps! (I've GOT to find a "shoe" smiley!)

By choice, or are you because one or both parents are? Just curious...

Last evening, I had to point out, to Bill, that one of my chocolate bunnies was defective: it had no ears or head! How THAT happened, I'll never know!
