Thanks everyone. I did enjoy the cake--2 pieces, one of them red velvet--YUM! My s/o and I went out last night for a great dinner at a really good restaurant in walking distance to our house. It was nice to spend some time with him, we've been so busy lately.

Today, a few of my students gave me a present, a little black and white cat in a basket, about 6 inches across. It looks real. THe benefit of teaching 6th graders is they still like to give their teachers presents.

Now that I'm in my late 30s, birthdays aren't as important as they used to be, but it's nice to be remembered. Thanks.
