Cravings...

Ok I have never been pregnant (obviously, lol) but I just read a thread on another site and they were all talking about the cravings they would get when pregnant. My mom had cravings for anything hot and spicy, needless to say I can not stand a touch of spice in my food. My stepmom craved whoppers from Burger King with her first son, and Dairy Queen hot fudge sundaes with the second. What kinds of cravings did you have when you were pregnant?

(I noticed in the other thread a lot of women craved citrus, lemons, limes, grapefruit...etc)

I dont have kids but my mom told me when she was pregnant with me (i was born in Feb.) she craved watermelon so bad she had to drive 30 minutes and pay 12 dollars for a tiny but good watermelon. with my brother she craved red licorce vines. i've heard that when you crave meat (i had a friend who was addicted to taco bell and hotdogs) its usually a boy. i'm sure its an old wives tale but somethign fun to think about.

I myself have no kids but I have alot of friends and family who had strange Cravings.....the first is my mom her craving when she was prego with me was Chicken Livers.....YUMMY I know sicking that I like them but it's what I lived on for nine months LOL. My sister craved KFC's Popcorn chicken when she was prego with both my Neices. And my Cousin craved Fish Sticks and and fudge pops. My best friend is currently craving potato chips. She can't get enough it hilarious!!!! But anyway there's some cravings I know about

I have been pregnant. During my first trimester, I had cravings for Three Musketeers candy bars. During my second and third trimesters, I absolutely had to get out of bed every single morning at 2 A.M. to have a snack of crackers and milk.

When I was pregnant, with Richard, I lived on spicy food: pizza, spaghetti, burritos, tacos. Dessert was Maalox.

With Mark, it was malted milk balls and Clover Club sour cream & onion potato chips.

With my son, I craved salsa (well I still do ) and steak with brown gravy.

I'm pregnant right now and so far I've craved avocado chips and slim jims, roast beef and dill pickles--then I started taking potassium and that stopped. I've also craved strawberry and cream cake (the real thing so it's a good thing strawberry season is starting out here). I'm also LOVING horseradish.

I've never been pregnant, but boy are they some interesting cravings!

Cold hot dogs dipped in Mayo, pizza, and sardines in tomato sauce with Garrett (my oldest)and with Ethan it was tuna mixed with cottage cheese topped with pickled beets and nachos from the gas station (of all places) was the only thing I could eat for breakfast without getting sick.

Yuck! LOL! (Please don't take that personal Abby) I have never been pregnant but it is funny to hear about what everyone craves.

yuck is right, I cant even smell hot dogs anymore without gagging LOL. Looking back I see now why I gained 100# + with each of my kids

Any kind of food when I was prego. I was so sick for 9 months that I couldn't keep anything down so any and everything was a craving for me Needless to say I only had one baby, but I wouldn't change that for all the food in the world.

When I was pregnant I ate from Monday till Saturday a Soft ice comb in the afternoon ( the store was closed on Sunday ) and every night I had to have Gummy Bears . And I swore to every body I hade no cravings at all , yea right
I also notice that I had a change of taste in cloth and shoes and bed sheets . After I had my son I never used that stuff and gave it away lol . A friend of mine wanted her bedroom all in bright pink but did not have the money to buy what she wanted . Boy was she glad she did not have the money , yuck 3 times LOL .
