Look Who I Caught!!!

I put the trap out last night and within an hour, I caught Smokey! He was so calm in the cage, eating his sardines. I moved the cage into my kitchen to check if he was neutered and he is. He is probably owned since he let us pet him. I gave hime some catnip and tuna, and released him. If he is trapped again, I will keep him and put up a found poster. He is really shiny and well cared for. I guess I can cross him off my list of ferals! Here are some pictures of the sweety!

He saw Zeus and they instantly accepted each other. (I didn't let Zeus get too close incase Smokey had an infection/disease.)

I opened the cage, but he turned around everytime I tried to take a picture!

He sure looks content to be in the trap....especially since he seemed more interested in finding some more sardines than in leaving once the door was open!

Isn't it amazing how easy it is to trap a cat?!

I'm going to set the trap again tonight, hopefully Smokey won't get caught again! I have a gut feeling that he will walk right back into the trap just because he gets tuna when he's in there!

Well.if that happens...2 times is a charm and you can keep him indoors and post flyers to try to find his owner and try to catch someone else (make sure you take him for shots before you let him near your cats).

Katie, I will do that! I set the trap again tonight, but so far, no kitties. I know I have to be patient, but it is so hard when I want so badly to help these ferals!
