I've been having the worst week so far! since sunday it has been going worse and worse.
Yesterday I get a call from Brad, A special friend of ours died this past weekend. one I really wanted to attend my wedding...

She was 73 and had a full life, but since she buried her second husband she was really depressed and so we always tried to help her by talking to her and bringing her pop from Brads store when she needed it, little things like that. unfortunately she got really sick and passed from heart failure and tonight was the visitation and funeral. I ordered a flower arangement for it and it wasn't there so that upset me even more, I loved that lady and wanted to give her a small token of the sweetness and happiness she gave to me everytime I saw her but no, the flowers never came! Ack! I'm overwhelmed with emotions that noone can even begin to comprehend!

Barb, I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. As much as you wanted the flowers to be there tonight, you brought her much needed "flowers" when she needed them most. I'm sure your friendship and those little things you did to help her out meant so much to her, and brought her rays of color and brightness to her days.

((((HUGS)))) to you and Brad...

So sorry to hear of the loss of your special friend. Don't fret so much about the flowers. The nice things you did for her when she was feeling down were worth more.

Barb,

The things you did while your friend was alive is worth more than the flowers. My mom taught me early that funerals are for the living, not for the person who passed. Its what we do for our friends while they are alive that matters in life.

Its going to sound crazy...but before you go to sleep tonight, ask her to visit you. You should have a nice dream with her and then you can tell her what she already knows...how much you miss her. She's watching over you.

Sandy
