I was watching Montel today and they talked about unclaimed money. They found unclaimed money for several of his audience members. It was over $19,000 each! Go to the website below and check if you have unclaimed money. I checked my name for Michigan (where I used to live) and found something! It didn't tell me how much but it gave me the form to fill out and send in!

Every year they have the "Great Colorado Payback" with a big ad campaign to get people to search and see if they are owed money, or lost valuables and such (I guess if something is left in a Safety Deposit box, they cannot sell the contents - it has to be claimed by the owner or owner's family if deceased). Unfortunately, I've never found my name.

I checked about 2 years ago and didn't have anything at that time. So I was surprised when I did this time! They must try to contact you for so long and then turn it in to unclaimed properties. I guess it's some federal law. I've never had a safe deposit box and I'm not sure what this is from! I guess I'll see!

Interesting site. I put in several names (mine, husband's, parents', siblings'), but no go.

I don't have anything. I entered several relatives names also, thinking if they had something I could charge them a finders fee and nothing for any of them either.
