Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! What a great picture (yet again!) Gees I should stop looking at pictures of other peoples cats - cos it just makes me want MORE MORE MORE!! (especially one like Tikki!) and it also forces me to use up all the batteries in our digi camara desperately trying to take the "perfect" picture which just never happens dag nab it!! (and why is it that when you have the camara out and waiting, the little bu**ers never do anything funny?!!!!)

Sorry about that....ahem.... GREAT PICTURE!

Thanks Hissy! I really want to get her into Cat Fancy. I will be posting a few of my favorites on the forum to get feedback on which to submit.

Heheh, the :freak" icon made me laugh out loud. Didn't expect the bulging eyes! The tongue pose shouldn't be difficult, she always licks when you scratch the right spot!

She has soft fur like a rabbit. I think the breeders call it "pelted". I call it "a pain in the butt" cause it's always all over my clothes!:tounge2:

Tiki sees the camera and runs. I think she has associated the camera with the flash. She actually whines when it makes the charging sound! The biggest problem is that they NEVER sit still!

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to write such nice comments. Here is another picture from the same series. She will stare at me like this for a very long time, sometimes 2-3 minutes. Wish I knew what she was thinking! Do other cats do this?

She is so beautifull. At the moment mine dont stare at me very long. They are still so young and just cant concentrate that long.

Tiki has stared at me for great lengths of time since the first day I brought her home. She was 10-11 weeks old and stared at me for about 3 minutes (literally) while I petted her.

Thats wonderfull. She must be a very sensitive cat and in tune with you.

ps I was wondering how you do that quote thing. I cant figure that out?
I rekon shes thinking "hmmm... is he too big for me? Nah, I could take him down.... a left swipe here, a right swipe there, and up & over to the food dish... heh heh heh..."

Click on the QUOTE box on the bottom right corner of the message you wish to quote. She doesn't like to be held unless her tummy is being rubbed, but she is definately a people person...er cat. She always talks back to me when I talk to her. She will answer about 80% of the things I say if I look at her when I say them. I'm still working on her vocabulary though. It's always a whiney meow.

Our cats will sometimes stare at us. It's as though they are trying to figure us out..."What are those crazy people doing now??"
Your Tiki is very photogenic and you capture her beauty extremely well. Wish I could take great pictures. Guess I'll just have to keep practicing.

Hi Nite

Just a little dry humor by your name You've heard it all before how breathtaking and stunning she is...cause nothing could be further than the truth! I've never seen a bengal before Tiki. She appears so intelligent as well. Is this indicative of this breed? I love your photography...but I guess that's something we've all come to know early on in your posts! I'm always looking forward to see what's next : Hugs to Tikki too {{{TIKI}}}

Hi Catarina,

I haven't always been a cat person and haven't been exposed to many of them before Tiki. I did alot of research before getting her. I didn't really care what the cat looked like. My main concern was that the cat not be aloof. The Bengal breed seems to be in tune with their owners but there seems to be individual, as in any breed, that break the norm. I would say that Bengals are GENERALLY intelligent, but there is always a "Forest Gump" in every litter. :tounge2:
Here is some great information on the breed if you are interested:

Nite, my husband wanted to get a bengal. But female bengals, especially with spots (rather than marbled) are very expensive here. We decided on a pound kitty instead. We are happy with Tasha, but I gotta say, seeing those lovely photo does make one sigh!

Oh well, I am young yet there's room in my future for a bengal.

I found this vampire picture of Basil.

OOooh Adele - the picture is soooooooo precious!!!!
And Nitecrwlr - keep them coming, Tiki is such a joy! I've used one of her pictures as a wallpaper. The :tounge2: one! Hope you don't mind

Billie,
I still have Tiki's pic as my wallpaper too!
It's the (I believe) first pic Nite posted, of Tiki on a leopard print blanket or throw of some kind...it's gorgeous and her eyes are such a vivid green in the pic.
When the babies are older I may replace it with one of them, if one turns out well enough, but until then that pic is the absolute best!

Thanks I didnt even see that down there.

Boo your pic is lovely.
