The other day when I was flipping through the cable channels, I caught the last 35 minutes of an hour-long documentary about cats. I thought it was very fascinating and informative about cat behavior. It compared domestic cats to their bigger, wild ancestors (lions, tigers, cougars, etc.). It will be aired again Monday, March 29th at 10:00 am. Documentary is called Cats: Caressing the Tiger.

Movin' on up!
That's a great one. Its been around, for years and I'd like to get my own copy of it.

One of the scenes, at a dairy farm, features a kitten crying for its mother. Years ago, that kitten had two of my past cats, running around the house, looking for that kitten. Peanut figured out that it was "in" the TV and searched all around it, trying to get to the kitten and comfort it. Peanut was our kitten trainer, for many years.

That is a great documentary! I learned alot about feral colony behavior from it. My cats also stood on their hind legs batting the screen when the cats cried and my dogs walked around the back of the TV looking for the cats. Great show!

Hmmm. Haven't seen that one. Sounds excellent. I shall keep my radar tuned for it.

Meanwhile, if you ever run into a 30-minute slot entitled "Tiger on the Tiles" (it's a Desmond Morris piece), that's well worth the time, too. Ran into it, I think, on Nova (probably PBS). Shasta was rivetted to it.
