alright, so I have four cats, mama cat and her 3 1/2 month kittens (2 males and one female), about three days ago we got mama and the female kitten spayed.
at first, the two brothers would hiss at their sister but now they rarely do so (i guess that was because of her smell)
but with mama its different: she was lying down resting and she moved around and her kittens would go and smell her and she would look at them, but the second day[after the surgery] she would hiss and growl at them and hit them.
the babies DO recognize her, but somehow she doesnt.
does anyone know how can i solve this?
TL/DR: got mama cat spayed and now she doesnt recognize her kittens.
please help

She does recognize her kittens BUT she needs space she needs to heal she may need

time out she maybe in pain kittens suckle nurse for along time, lots of different smells

she may just not want to be disturbed is being firm, when she's like this give her somewhere to go where she is

isolated for a few hours has some space can rest. Is she licking the wound? Is she on pain meds?

Welcome to the site
We would love to see some pictures of them, post pics of stitches

as well  ;)

I wouldn't let what people say worry you too much.   Sometimes people just don't like the attitude of a person - it doesn't make them a bad vet.

Those stitches look pretty good to me.
There are others here that have seen way  more spay stitches than me .. hopefully they'll be able to let you know soon.
