Just noticed this. Maybe due to the heat? It's 100f/38c here. The white protective layer is stuck up around the eye it seems...? She's acting normally, eating and moving around and purring etc... Any ideas?

Has the cat been sneezing/runny nose/eyes lately? The vet will ask you this.
Has there been any changes in energy? Third eyelid could be illness or stress. But still need a vet check. Be sure there's plenty of water available. I have syringed water to my cats when it's very hot and we didn't have the ac running. If you have AC I suggest keeping the cat in there until you can get her to a vet. The heat can bother cats and they are good at hiding it.
