Play. So I rescued this kitty from a former friends house. This cat came bloated with worms and fleas. We had no idea her actual history other than.. She didn't fit in with the litter. She was the runt and VERYYY timid. we agreed to take her because I had a name and the ability to have another. Long story short... She picked up this habit of peeing about 8 months into having her 3 years later I am very patient with her. She is very skidish. She comes off feral in some ways. She was a few months old when we got her. She started with just peeing on the rug. I got another box to cover all the cats. They seem to do fine in that aspect. She uses the box fine for pop and most pees. So it is very much behavioral. They sleep with us at night door shut with litter boxes. Its a strange setup but I do it so I can keep her. I need some understanding places to vent at this point. Husband is frustrated but I don't have the heart to give up on her. And frankly he doesn't either. My parents live with us and she ADORES them and my dad is her "person". But at night she is my cat and comes and eats with her kitty fam. She is aggressive in a playful manor with the oldest my tortie Manx mix. The Manx wants no part. I skipping around here sorry. Anyways. She pees on pillows now. As for a while it was our laundry baskets. I am baffled. I have tried every cleaner.. Every natural remedy

Does she get enough canned food? My male cat would pee everywhere when he was on mostly dry food.

Is she spayed?  Have you taken her to a vet to check for medical issues, like a uti?

Yes and yes. She gets lots of extras. She is a faucet water kitty as well. I have contemplated taking her to the vet again to have the issue ultrasound or something. But she acts extremely behavioral it is like clock work for her and it is every slightest change in routine we get wet pillows. I bought all waterproof bed and pillow protectors. I have even tried cat stress spray and drops. She is VERY skittish. She is sprayed she is only 8 lbs fully grown we had to wait quite a while to get her sprayed because it took her so long to hit the 5 lbs mark require by my vet. So she probably had a heat cycle. The behavior is also somewhat like jealousy or territory even though she gets just as much attention when she allows it. She went let you pet her, or even catch her she books it anywhere she can get away if she knows she is about to be touched. So we leave her be. They are all three very spoiled pets. Lots and lots of toys and play time. And the boxes are cleaned regularly she has picked the litter we tested then for a year before we found one she will even bother using. I want to try the kitty time out as I did that with my boy cat before we had her and it was marvelous I just doubt have a dedicated room I can do this in. Because if I shut the door in my room it is guaranteed pee. That is what happened last night I fed them locked them in went to brush my teeth came in and.... Pee.
