talkingpeanut talkingpeanut I'll keep y'all updated :) but, do you know any ways to find a lost cat? Twix hasn't came home since 32 hours, she's my first female cat who got lost/ran away :( I miss her so much, Oreo keeps looking for her, they might fight a lot, but they're good friends too. Oreo is a male cat, he runs off for 1-3 days, no longer than that though, but its been two days since Twix went out, yesterday at 8:35 Am, she saw the door open and ran out with this male cat who's coming in the backyard from two months, we try to make him go away but he doesn't.. He was my granddad's cat and my granddad passed away and we couldn't take care of him because we already have Oreo and male cats fight a lot. Do you have any advice on finding Twix? Or just please pray for her to come back or something? I would appreciate if you do, Thanks! :)
All of these behavioral issues would be improved if they were spayed and neutered. Where are you located? I would like to help you to find a rescue. It's awful to abandon a cat that once had a home because you don't want to care for it.

Wait, I wrote it wrong- she's staying out of my house and not coming in.. She's acting like she doesn't know me :( she keeps following that male cat, its really dark right now so I can't go out to look for her, but I'll definitely look for her tomorrow in the morning. My mum is saying Twix might be pregnant or trying to find a mate. Seriously, I never thought keeping cats would be this difficult! :(

Yes, she's in heat, only six months old, and probably pregnant now. This is a concern.

Keeping cats is not difficult, but it is a significant responsibility. Spaying and neutering makes your life and their lives better. It's part of your responsibility as owner.

My friend's first cat, when she was three months old, she got lost and one week later she came back and.. She was pregnant. She was only three months old and Twix is six months old. My mum says there are chances of Twix getting pregnant. My mum had a cat and she had kittens when she was 6 months old.
I'm worried about my Twix, what if she had kittens? Because, she looked like she was pregnant since January. Her tummy was getting bigger and bigger. This is confusing, I know nothing about cat's pregnancy. I've heard that we should spay cats when they're six months old, I was waiting for Twix to be six months old but now that I'm gonna have finals, I decided to ask my mum to get her spayed when she's 7 or 8 months old.. My dad still says its wrong to neuter or spay animals, he's a doctor though ..

I'll make sure to get my cats neutered and spayed, thanks for letting me know that's important! :)

You should spay and neuter now. As you've noted, pregnancy is very likely at six months. Keep them inside and separated until then. Can you do that?

Where are you located? We can help you to find a rescue for all of the other cats around.

I can't tell where I'm located though, I do plan on getting my cats neutered and spayed, as soon as I find and get Twix back, they're almost always separated, Oreo and Twix even have separate rooms but they do sometimes play, thanks again for letting me know that neutering and spaying is important. I'll try and find a vet tomorrow :)

Great idea. You don't have to give your address at all, but if you want to say a city you're near, we might be able to help.

Is Twix just outside your house now?  She is probably following the male cat, or the male cat is chasing her.

Try putting some food outside in the morning.    If you put food in her carrier and one of your dirty shirts so she has your scent, she might come into the carrier

Otherwise, you might need to use a humane trap and set up the trap with food to catch her to bring her back in the house.

It is a lot easier to keep cats who are spayed and neutered because they are not ruled by their hormones.

OP has already stated she lives near London.

foxden foxden Thank you :) I'll do anything I can do to get her back, I'm just afraid someone might gave her food or something and she's staying in their house :( she doesn't go near strangers though, its confusing why she isn't coming back, my mum said Twix will soon realise that I'm the one who loves her and she will come back, I hope its true.
I've been taking care of her, giving her food and water since I saw her first time. I don't know, Tortoiseshells are special to me.. I love my both cats like they're my best friends, they're like my family. Cats are the best [emoji]10084[/emoji] :)

It sounds to me like Twix is out having kittens since you suspect she's possibly been pregnant since January. The timing would be about right. Oreo may be the father.

She will be back soon and she'll be hungry. If her tummy is flatter then you'll know for sure. I also suspect that she is older than six months.

Once she is back you'll want to follow her to see where the kittens are so you can bring them all inside your home.

I have had pet sitters and have also used a reliable kennel. I am a travel agent and don't recommend taking cats on vacations out of the country. There are rules re: quarantine in some countries. The stress of travel is a lot as well. Keep them home with a loved one or a nice warm kennel.

My granddad's cat is maybe the father, he kept coming in house from two months and tried to mate with Twix and every time I stopped him but now, now I think he has mated with her..

I'll try and find someone trustable to take care of my cats :) its kinda hard to trust people because so many people abuse animals, but I'll try to find someone. :)

This is another reason why having more kittens is an issue.

Please, please get all of these cats fixed. Start with the males as soon as possible.

If Twix has been out because she had a litter of kittens, you will know right away because she will be a lot skinnier.

If you think she had kittens while she was out, you will need to follow her or watch her to see where she hid her litter. You will need to be careful following so she does not get scared.

It sounds like there are a lot of stray cats in your area. If you think Twix had kittens while she was out, it is important to find them to keep them safe.

She could hide them under a building or inside a building with even a small crack between the door and the building.

You can take a picture to your neighbors and find out if anyone is feeding her. I think she will come back to you. She knows where her home is, and putting food out will help her come back.

There are many stray cats in my area, one of them had four kittens three days ago, they're in the park near my house.
About Twix, I'm afraid she's in someone's house and they'll say she's their cat.
Oreo got lost when he was 2 months old and I saw him in my neighbor's house's backyard, they were trying to catch him so he don't get back to me or something, my mum told them we're the owners of Oreo and they said "show us the proof, this is my cat, not yours" and I showed them all pictures I had of Oreo that time and they had to give Oreo back.
Twix is the only Tortoiseshell kitten in my area, there are two other Tortoiseshell cats, they are about an year old.
Many kids are trying to catch Twix from a week.
Last week, a little boy was trying to scare Twix by barking like a dog.
My mum said someone might've took her.
I've seen that boy trying to catch more cats and dogs here, I don't know if Twix is with him. But like I said, she's really hard to catch. There's no way she's kidnapped or something.
I'm gonna go find her tomorrow..
