I have 2 cats. 1 boy (10 month) and 1 girl(8 month). The boy is about over 10 lb and the girl is about 8-9 lb.
Are they fine with the weight?

Now, I have started feeding them only wet food since I read the catinfo web site.
I am feeding 2 Friskies classic pate 5.5oz can per day fir them. Both cats share the 1 can in the morning, so each cat ates about 2.7 oz..
Their dinner is the same as the breakfast.

Is that enough for them? I decided not to feed dry food no more.

I am worried about like fatty liver diseases.

Please, tell me how to feed them. Thank you.

Hello Archer o,

Your babies are within the weight range. Make cats are usually heavier than female cats.

A rough guide to feeding the right amount is to follow the calories per pound per cat guide. So it is 20 calories per pound for an indoor cat. Daily intake should be around 200 calories for your boy and just do the maths for your girl. Following this guide with wet food is a good way to help maintain weight.

The number of calories per can should be printed on the can itself if not you can check on their website.

Are they neutered and spayed? If they are, they need slightly less calories as they are not as active as before. And when they enter into adult age, their intake will be less.

Here's an article on getting your kitties fixed :-

Every cat is different in how much they should eat.  If they are extremely active, as yours might be since they are still so young, they might actually need more than 200 calories per day.  Do they appear to still be hungry at the end of the day?  If so, try bumping up their food.  Are they too skinny?  If so, try bumping up their food?
