How to use capsule drugs

Hello, 
My cat is prescribed an antibiotic called clindamycin. I bought the capsule ones and I had been mixing the powder inside the capsule into my cats wet food. However I started to wonder if that is ok using it like that. I cannot make him swallow the capsules but would this usage decrease the efficiency of the drug? 
I would be happy to hear your experience about capsule antibiotics.

Most capsules are made to be used that way, the only ones that would not be are 'time released'ones, antibiotics are not timed released. To reassure yourself, call your vet, and if they are not sure, call any pharmacist and they would be happy to answer you.
