Most cats found in shelters are Domestic Shorthairs. Your cat is most likely a DSH- in the classic or "bullseye" tabby pattern. However, that athletic body combined with the pattern and head/ear shape... he is a decent lookalike to a Bengal. Notice I said lookalike, it is nearly impossible to determine a DSH cat's breed ancestry, short of a DNA test that is. Congratulations on your new kitty! He is gorgeous, no matter what his heritage is.

Definatldy a life friend for us. Previous owner said she was an egyptian jynx but never heard of that. I think its a grandchildren to a bengal.  Possibly bengal with sloppy breeding, containing both the marbled bengal type (ie classic bulls eye-tabby gene), and the rosette-type = spotted tabby gene...

Her nice coloring is another hint to this directions, those warm colors AND some silver too.

HER breed as such must be counted as shorthair domestic, classic tabby.
