Hello everyone,

I am an inexperienced mom  of my 5 months old boy (for 2 months). Lately, my cat had a very bad breath and I read that I had to check his teeth. There was some redness in his gum and in order to check it more closely I put my two fingers on two sides of the back of his month and pressed a little to open his mouth. I don't think I was harsh but when I checked his mouth I realized that one of his teeth was on his tongue and he swallowed it! Do you think that it was a baby teeth? Or did I do something wrong? I feel like a terrible parent... In terms of food, he only eats wet (Wellness Signature +Weruva) and when I give any dry treats, he always had a habit of swallowing them without chewing. Thank you for your help!

I'm sure it was a baby tooth :D. If their adult teeth came out from mild pressure they'd never be able to eat a mouse :lol3:. And he's just the right age for teething. The bad odor can happen when they're teething too.

If you're really worried, it's always best to ask the vet.

Thank you so much Willowy
! I feel more relieved, I was very apologetic towards him because of this and today he ate as many treats as he would in two days
! In addition, it is great to know that bad breath might be due to this, of course I will keep an eye on him regardless..
