Hello everyone! My little rescue, Purlie is my baby. I've never been through a spay surgery because my previous cat were always spayed before we got them and I might just be worrying. She is 6 months old and was spayed on Monday (5 days ago). She's eating great, drinking, using the bathroom. She's plays a little bit (I keep it minimal) she's been sleeping a little more than usual. She's not been hiding and wants to follow me everywhere. I am suppose to take her Thursday or Friday (5/6 days from now) to get her stitches removed. However I have noticed her incision is coming apart slightly. It doesn't look red or infected. There is also a very hard lump about the size of a marble under the incision. She lets me touch it and doesn't both her one bit. Should I take her soon (Monday) to get this checked out
? I hate to take her Monday and it not be a big deal and turn around and bring her again in a couple days to remove the stitches. She hates going. I'd love any help I can get! Thank you! When I took these pictures she was sprawled and stretched out on my lap.

Can you send these photos to the vet?  I'm assuming that she has internal stitches too, so this is fine.  She looks like she's healing well.

Thank you for your help. I didn't think to ask when I picked her up and the vet techs didn't tell me what type of stitches she recieved! It looks the same today. I think I'm going to watch and wait until Thursday. She hasn't acted like it's bothered her. I'm just worried! [emoji]128524[/emoji]

I would call them on Monday and ask if she has internal stitches as well as external. If it starts bleeding, weeping, or gets angry red looking, then it's definitely time for a trip to the vet.  Otherwise, I think you're okay to just monitor it for a few days.

What @talkingpeanut  and @stephanietx  both said.  Looks fine to me.

It looks fine to me, too. I don't see any swelling or redness. :) It looks like it's healing nicely. Pink is healthy tissue that you want to see and that's completely normal.

Just an update! I took her to the vet this past Wednesday. They took the stitches out and said it looked just a little bit redder than they like to see. She's got the cone of shame for 5 days and antibacterial wipes 3 times a day! Thanks again for all your help!

My kittens spay incision is almost completely healed up except for one tiny tiny hole at the end. I can tell if it's black from becoming a scab and healing or if it's black because it is a hole. It's very small, should I be worried?

try coconut oil on it to keep it from getting itchy? Is the spot hot to the touch or red? Does it have a bad odor?
There is no odor, it's not red or anything. I can't tell if it's hot because her whole body seems like it's hot or warm. I may try the coconut oil and I know her hair is starting to grow back which I know is probably itching her. Her behavior is fun and playful I just don't know why the skin hasn't gone together yet and that one tiny little spot. When I took her to the vet or we could go to get her stitches taken out they said it looked fine and just to put the wipes on it for a couple of days. I want to say it's like a scab trying to form together I just would think it would take this long! I don't want to have to keep her in a cone for three whole weeks , bless her heart
