Hello all! I'm New here so I'm hoping I'm doing this right.
My cat Binx (10 months old male) was treated Monday at the Vet, he was diagnosed with asthma and bronchitis. Poor baby was struggling and I just thought it was a hairball issue. Glad I brought him in! They gave him 2 injections, Depomedrol and Convenia (steroid and antibiotic). Before I brought him in even though sick, he was playful and alert but since the meds he's been not wanting to play, way more vocal than normal and sleeping a lot more. He's eating and drinking normal...I been adding water to his wet food to make sure he's hydrated. All his bathroom habits are good and his breathing has improved significantly. Should I be alarmed by his behavior or are they likely side effects of the medication? I have a very low income so I can't keep bringing him back to the vet, however I will if I need to. I love my lil furbaby and I'm just worried. Any tips or advice is appreciated!

How is he doing now? I think the best bet would be to just call the vet and ask them if this could be a side effect of the treatment.

I'm going with a reaction from the Convenia.  One of the biggest complaints from owners of kitties who've gotten the Convenia injection is lethargy and lack of appetite.  Watch him closely and if he's not eating almost what he was eating previously and he's not drinking water, he needs to get back to the vet for some fluids.  Unfortunately, there's not a way to quickly flush the Convenia out of the system.  It stays in their system for up to 58 days.  It took my two cats about 10 days to stop being zombies and start to return to their normal playful state.  Do the research on Convenia. You can read a lot about it here on this site.
