I wonder anyone can recommend a good breeding pen, so far I tried a few,  all have different problems

I am looking for something while mom can get in /out easily , while the kittens can not escape.

I first tried a big dog crate,  I turned it side way, with the original gate open at the top. Mum can jump in and out,  however kitten can not escape.   The main problem is that it is too small.  Although I bought the biggest crate I can find, it is still too small, as I would like the kittens have room for running around

I also tried some metal pet divider. the main problem  for this kind of pen is, they came with both vertical and horizontal bars, kittens can easily step on the horizontal bars and climb up.   I tried many ways to stop them. e.g I type cardboard at the top, or attach plastic sheet on the side. But by age 6 or 7 weeks, kittens always escape.

I then tried play pen for human baby, the wooden one without horizontal bars in between, only at the top and bottom.  However the space between vertical bars are too wide, kitten can easily escape.  I was thinking to add some vertical bar myself or add some strong plastic sheets to block all the bars, however, I am very bad at diy, so could not figure out  how / what should I use.

Any suggestions would be appreicated

Some of our members have used play pens, tents, or set up a fenced area. You can kitten proof a room so it is safe and put a baby gate in the doorway so mom can jump over it. A spare room is best.

Are you a breeder?

I saw those kind of tent/ play pen,  is it strong enough? also I do not think it is big enough.    we do not have spare room at this moment

Ideally, something strong and big enough with slippery wall that kitten can not climb will be best
