Hi!

I haven't posted in awhile, but I have a 3 year old medium haired cat named Sebastian and he has been having more of a problem with hairballs over this past year.

Right now, the problem is that he threw one up with his dinner and then tried to throw up twice more, and both times I could see a hairball in his mouth trying to come out, but both times he swallowed it again!!! Now I am super anxious.

I have never given him vaseline before, but I searched on here and it was recommended for bad hairballs, so I managed to get him to eat a dollop of the stuff mixed with a pullverized freeze dried fish treat. And he even ate some more of his food and he has calmed down now and is just chillin' like nothing happened. But I am really worried!

I plan on calling the vet tomorrow morning, but any advice on what I should be doing? I am mostly afraid of a hairball being stuck in his throat or in his digestive track since he swallowed it again.

I give mine coconut oil on his paw ( he will lick it off grooming ) a couple times a week and I have not had issues with hair balls yet ( he is long hair and I brush him daily too if that helps )
