The stray we feed and let in to rest just had 2 kittens in our house. We are supposed to go on holiday in a month. I'm concerned about leaving them in the house while we're gone. Isn't 4 weeks too early to rehome them. How can I prevent them from destroying anything while we're gone?

Do you have a room that you could "kitten proof" and leave them in? At that time they won't really be destroying things per say- they will just have started leaving the nest at that point. MUCH too young to rehome. The minimum is 8 weeks, although it is recommended 10-12 weeks! Hope this helps!

You would absolutely need someone to supervise them, litter box train the kittens, and feed, water, and clean after them.

How long will you be gone?

Do you have a friend or relative who can house-sit for you?

You'll want them all de-sexed before re-homing as well. Again, 10-12 weeks is the best time to separate mom and kittens.

We will be gone 5 days. We have a friend that normally stops in to feed them once a day. I am worried about leaving them in the house because mama kitty keeps pawing at the doors trying to get out AND just pooed in our kitchen while while we're at work.. Any idea why she would have done this? I have her and the kittens a bed set up and have the other cat shut up in another room. She has a litter box and food right by their bed. She is litter box trained and always goes in it.
