Here's our baby boy, Tuxedo. These were taken late Feb and early March. He's full and fluffy. I think his nose looks white here, and I'm sure it was as he must have already been suffering from the anemia.

Anway, he's doing pretty well.
The prednisone has helped his appetite, and now that he's on the meds - he's only been on the nupigen and epigen one day, but he does seem perkier than before. His red blood cell count was 20 yesterday, and that's down from 24 after the blood transfusion of Friday. So he's really got to get that bone marrow working, and I sure hope these drugs do it! We go back for another blood cell count next Tuesday.

C'mon Tuxie boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our fluffy boy in early March. His fur is completely different than all of our other cats'. His is longer, thinner and sooooooo silky. I hope one day he comes to love being petted as much as the rest of the gang. We can barely get Spooky OFF our laps these days, LOL! Tuxie loves pets on his cheeks and under his chin for about two minutes max. But that's a far cry from the hissing spitting baby ball of fur he once was....

You know... I think you can see a difference if you compare his cheeks in the first pic with the third pic. He lost so much weight, poor guy. Speaking of which, I think I'll go give him some more "treats." (Kitten food
).

What a handsome boy. I'm soooo happy to hear that the meds are helping his appetite. Kisses and scritches to him!

Thanks Christy! Little by little I hope!

Here's a pic of the boy today - and you can see the patches all over him where he was shaved. That you can't see are his belly got shaved, and two other bits on his neck. The one on his hip is a bit freaky, because it really makes him look soooo skinny. But he's already starting to put on a little weight, and we are sooooo thankful!!!!!!!!!

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!
Those pics made me want to reach out and cuddle him. The last pic reminded me SOOOO much of Sunniday who I had for ONE BRIEF YEAR before I had to put her to sleep due to her losing battle with CRF. The last 2-3 weeks at home, she looked so much like Tux with shaved legs, belly and that look in her eyes (looking tired). I STILL MISS Sunniday.

I know you are doing your best with him. I will be continuing to send him "get well" vibes! I will continue to check this for further updates on Tux. I will also continue to send YOU and ur hubby "HANG IN THERE" vibes..
