Most cats I have had in my life have an almost euphoric experience when you scratch them on the back at the base of the tail. It's one of those places they can't reach all that well.
Jasper loves it he gets all googily eyed and I could scratch him into unconsciousness. Audrey on the other hand grabs the closest thing weather that be a piece of furniture or my bare arm and aggressively licks or bites with her little tiny front teeth.
One of my friends waked by and scratched her there and she nipped me 3 times which has now formed onto a tater square bruise.
Does anybody else's cat do this?

From what I've experienced, cats either LOVE it and get super happy and lovey, or it triggers (what I suspect to be) a tingly unpleasant pinchy nerve type reaction, and they hate it.
We have an orange and white tabby who lovessssss to be gently scratched there. He gets all squinty eyed and purrs like a crazy man. It's great :)
