5 Week Old Kitten Already Sexually Maturing?

Hi everyone I have some news. If you read my other thread you already know what happened in that thread. Ok so my kittens are now 5 weeks olds and are healthy and happy. So today I came in as usual and sat, played, and layed with. Then one of the kittens as I named Blue is a girl but was sitting like a cat in heat! She was sitting in that weird position they do when they are ready to mate! It looks sort of squat like with their legs and then she swung her tail to the side! It was so weird and I thought they weren't supposed to mature until they were 4 months! Please help any advice would be great!

My spayed female Looby Loo still does that all the time. Your kitten is definitely not sexually mature.

I know it's not but it acts so much like it? I was just wondering if any one else's kittens did that?

I know it's not normal for a kitten that young to do that so it has to he something

I just cannot believe that a kitten this young (5 week old kittens are usually not even weaned yet) would be sexually maturing. I feel like a photo or some more details would be helpful. Young kittens are often quite clumsy too, are you sure it's just not an awkward pose that she manages to get into while playing?

Yeah I've had some young ones do this, especially when they are being sniffed there.

At this age cats are learning to use their bodies - legs, tail, mobility.

It's possibly she is just moving in strange ways because she is exploring how her mobility works.

Sometimes cats and dogs stand in positions with their butt posed because they have tummy upset. She could have gas or something.

I wouldn't read too much into the behavior unless it continues excessively as she gets older or you notice any signs of distress.

For her to be sexually maturing at this age is extremely unlikely!
