Hello everyone. First of all this forum has been so kind so thank you. I recently posted in the Cat Health forum under "Dealing with a Urinary Tract Blockage" about my four year old flame point siamese Torch's situation.
Recently my beloved furbaby, Torch, suffered from a severe urinary tract blockage that threatened failure of his kidneys.
I rushed him to an emergency vet clinic (during an awful snow storm, our luck has been horrible) and they treated him quickly, unblocking his obstruction. However, they informed me that male cats can become reblocked, and require multiple surgeries.
He was recovering fine, but a few hours after I was informed he did re-block. They unblocked his system again, and he's recovering again but he may require surgery to permanently fix this issue. Torch is an active, loving, rescued flame point Siamese.
Seeing him suffer from this disease is heart breaking and I cannot wait to get him home and normal. His rescue kitty sister, Cocoa also misses him very much.
I was informed my bill is already a whopping $4,000 and could grow depending on what happens next. He seems to be relapsing unfortunately so tomorrow we go to the vet. I've taken out a credit card with awful APR to pay for this, and any aid would be a blessing.
Any extra funds I will donate to the welfare of animals here in Pittsburgh, although I have a feeling I will need every cent due to the growing costs of his care and surgery. He may not need the PU surgery but I find out tomorrow. If I do not need extra funds I will post proof of donation to local animal welfare causes.
I have no children, but Torch is do doubtedly part of my small furry family. Please help our family, and donate to help Torch recover.
Any amount is appreciated, even if you cannot donate please share this if you can!! THANK YOU!! I will keep you all updated on his condition
