I bought three months worth of turkey to go with my rabbit back in December. Scouring the internet, it appears turkey thighs may be seasonal?
I know they have a distinct aroma, and the boys have had rabbit and turkey for months from catinfo.org recipe. They're on it for urinary health, not any allergens.

I think I'm going to have to change it to rabbit and chicken. Unless you know of a reasonable place to get turkey to chunk? Hare Today has it in 3-4 inch cubes (I would still have to cut) for over $8 a lb, so that's not feasible.

I notice that turkey seems to be seasonal. I do get turkey cubes from HT. Turkey thighs in my area are $6.99 a lbs , so , for me HT is a bargain.I am going to stock up soon before HT stops ground shipping for the summer.

A few of the supermarket chains where I live have turkey thighs and other parts all year long. It's the Shady Brook Farms brand. You can look for it at your local supermarkets.

I got them originally from Whole Foods.
I just emailed Shady Brook.
This is what I got from another company earlier today:

Thank you for your interest in Plainville Farms and our fine line

Of Antibiotic Free Poultry.

While the Turkey Thighs are not a seasonal item for us, many retailers

Do not carry them year round.  Unfortunately, in your area, there are no

Retailers carrying this item.

Sincerely,

Plainville Farms Customer Service

I'm trying Giant through their Peapod and see if they can put it together in a week's time. I told them not to substitute anything.
If I can source them, I just feel like their might be so so quality getting a store brand.

Hare Today's turkey thigh cubes are $8 for two pounds, not per pound.   They're the best deal around for turkey.  You might check with local butchers or specialty meat shops, but out of season turkey in groceries is really iffy.  I've bought things that turned out be rotting even though they were well within the "sell-by" date.

That said...I recently bought a lot of ground turkey from HT because it was on sale - hopefully it's fresh and my cats will love it as much as they usually do!
