Hi all,
I've been trying for so long to figure out if my baby Tom is a Russian Blue. He has all the traits. Especially mauve paws, silver tips, affectionate, and more. But he does have one white spot on his belly. He's also a very big boy. He's about 10 pounds, only 9 months old. (He's not overfed either) please help me!

Tom is very nice, but he isnt no RB. For example, heis eyes arent green.   They arent known to be biggish, what they are know is to be  muscular but elegant even slender build....

Compare my answer to the parallell tread of Amber.

My Tommy is a russian blue mix as well. He has green eyes although they are rimmed in pale gold. Very social cat. Complete lover- you can handle him anyway you want and he takes it and even purrs. Your Tom looks like he may still have some tabby ghosting with the faint stripes along the tail. Mine grew out of it but he had it when he was younger. He's 8 years now. And he did blow up as a cat child. He loves food. Lives for it. By the time he was 3 or 4 he was up to 21 lbs. We took three years of his life to give them back to him after we worked to lose the weight down to 13 lbs. He's still not a small cat, but he's svelte and muscular looking now. He's on a strict diet for the rest of his life. He went under general anesthesia 4 times in the same week in February and he could have had complications if he were still overweight. He also has FLUTD now so that's another reason to monitor him closely.
