Hello hello! Happy Tuesday ~

What is your favourite type of pie? (Meat or Sweet)

I was never much of a pie person to be honest. But, I do enjoy Key Lime and Lemon Meringue. I also like Coconut Cream pie. *Sometimes* I can be ok with an apple cinnamon one, if fresh and well made. Just have to be in the mood for them.

And never bonded with meat pies overall

Meat pies. I know that is a thing but not common around here. Maybe chicken pot pie? Does that count? I never eat it personally. My Dad is lactose intolerant and allergic to poultry so it isn't something we ate as kids and now that I am older the calories on it scare me. The only other thing I can think of is a Shepard's Pie but I am not sure if that would count as more than a name. Even if it did, not a fan of the way it bakes and stuff mixes. I prefer the potatoes on the side and hate that layer where they kinda blend together. I kinda want to try a pasty but those aren't around here and I have only read about them. Empanadas might be considered similar and I have had those and like them if they count in the meat pie category.

Thinking about fruit pies makes me realize I am probably just not a pie person overall. I make a mean apple pie and those disappear when I make them for holidays. But I rarely have more than a small slice myself. I like Lemon Meringue pie and that is about it. The cream pies are just too rich for me and most fruit pies are overly sweetened to the point that I they just become generic sweet fruity pies, IMHO.

Not crazy about pies but I don't mind an occasional chicken pot pie or turkey pot pie. I love the crust crispy yummy.

Lemon meringue Pie is good. I don't care for sweets. Apple pie is ok but it's got to be mackintosh soft apples.

I have tried pork pie and I found it strange tasting. If I had to eat It I would but the spices in it kind of weird.

Guess I prefer meat dishes..and a good flaky golden crust.

I like pies, but I can't say I'm wild about them.  I'm picky about the crust and so many fall short of having the right texture and flavor.

I do really like savory ones better I think. Chicken/Turkey pot pies FTW!

Pumpkin, Mud Pie, French Silk and Chocolate Creme. I don't care for fruity pies.

I think I would have to say Pumpkin Pie.. or an apple pie that is not overly sweet.. just a bit of sweetness.

That is what turns me off about pies. Some of them are too sweet.

My mom used to make a coconut pineapple merengue pie that was to die for! I have her recipe, somewhere; however I think it may be too sweet for me!! I have tried a few of them out. They all seem as if there is too much sugar in them.

I have an issue when I make pies. The crusts never cook thoroughly.. think it may be my oven, but I have always had this issue. sigh

i really like a good quiche -- with or without meat (bacon, sausage) in it.

for the sweet kind of pie, i really like apple, cherry, and peanut (pretty much the same as pecan, but costs less) pies.

I prefer sweet pies.  I like most of them, which one is my 'favorite' depends on the mood I am in at any given time.  I generally prefer fruit pies to cream pies.

Not a vegetarian, but NOTHING with organ meat.  Don't touch it.  And coconut upsets my tummy (and I LOVE it, of course)....but the answer is, YES!  I just love pies.  All pies.  Any pies.  I even make and enjoy homemead mincemeat pie.

I love a good pumpkin or sweet potato pie. Apple pies are easily made too dry or too bland, so I'm maybe about 50/50 on them. I don't like cooked cherries, so no cherry pie. Strawberry-rhubarb is good. I don't care for merengue (whipped cream would be better!) but I'll eat the lemon part. I love chicken pot pie.

Basically---I like pie in general but find it's something that doesn't always turn out right. Storebought pies are mostly not-so-great.

I like key lime pie as long as there is NO meringue on it. I detest that stuff.

Publix- our local Florida based grocery chain, has a really good one.

Other than that, I'm not a pie person. Dessert pie that is. I like pot pies. Marie Callendar's pot pies are pretty darn good.

We love pie (there's really not too much we don't eat, unfortunately).  Our favorite is apple pie with butterscotch and raisins. Anything apple really. I am a big fan of chocolate silk pie and lemon meringue and I'd never turn down a good coconut cream pie. Rick loves, loves, loves peanut butter pie, but he just loves pie. His mother used to make wonderful lemon sponge pies and Montgomery pies; she made the best peaches-and-cream pies. I like to make shoo-fly pie and Amish vanilla pie, too. Yum.

For savory pies, chicken pot pie is right up there on our lists. I make a darn good deep-dish chicken pie....it's just delicious (patting myself on the back....sorry). We also like Cornish pasties, kind of like a pie, with a crust and a filling of beef, potatoes, etc.
