Tiny black pests

I noticed a tiny black speck on one cat, and when I went to brush it away, it moved away! Freaked me out. Now I notice both cats scratching a lot. Help.

Fleas. Ask your vet for some flea medication. A lot of products are ineffective in Florida, so it's best to ask your vet because he/she should know what's most effective in your area.

Don't use stuff you can buy at a grocery store. Most of them are toxic and ineffective.
