Clint Eastwood Grand Torino

I love the storyline and how a gruff old fart gets along with a younger generation from a different part of the world. And the old fart cares about the other family living next to him. And of course the Torino car is a legend in of itself.

I love Clint. I will always love Clint.  One of my biggest crushes of all time.

You can never go wrong with any of his spaghetti westerns. Fistful of Dollars, For a few Dollars more, etc.

KEDI http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4420704/ is the heartwarming and beautifully filmed story of community cats and their caregivers in an Istanbul neighborhood.  Independent, luminously beautiful, wise, and loving.  In Turkish with english subtitles.  Has played to sold-out audiences internationally.  Whatever you do, SEE. THIS. FILM.

But is it a depressing movie? I don't want to see a bunch of unfixed cats struggling to survive! When my husband was in Istanbul, he was horrified by the number of stray cats.

I can't say it isn't realistic.  Whether or not it's depressing depends on the viewer.  While I advocate for spay/neuter, adoption for life, and keeping all cats who will live successfully indoors, inside, I don't expect others to be like me.  These people do care very much about the cats.  At one point, one of the caregivers says that everyone in the neighborhood has a running tab at the vet's.  They make sure the cats are fed, quite well, and they do everything they can to ensure they are cared for.  Of course I wish EVERY cat and kitten had a loving indoor home for life, and you may also wish that.  But this is a documentary about a neighborhood, its feline residents, and the people who care for and about them.  I do recommend it most highly.

Love, love, love, Play Misty for Me. I recorded it last year and watch it often. Evelyn Draper was one crazy chick.

We have indoor & outdoor cats. We also have two colonies on our street. That is not my issue. My issue is with cats who are not fixed. In any event, it looks good & I've added it to my Netflix Q.

I agree 100%, and since they do use the services of vets, perhaps spay/neuter is part of that -- I hope and pray so, though it is not covered in the film, as I recall.

Saw this amazing movie yesterday from the Ukraine. No spoken dialog & no subtitles. Brutal & violent.

Sixteen Candles was amazing. sooooo funny. What a great cast!
John Cusak, Joan Kusak, in small roles.

One of my fave 80s films is Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I laugh out load
and I've seen it many times. Sean Penn, sooooo hilarious.....
